Senior Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Nursing

Evie studied for her BSc in Veterinary Nursing at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2015 and graduating with her BSc (Hons) in 2016. She spent three years in clinical practice, both first opinion and as a Surgery Ward RVN at the RVC's Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, before becoming a Clinical Educator. In 2018, she gained her Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Education and becoming a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Evie then left the RVC, gaining teaching experience working for a college, before returning to the RVC as a Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Nursing in 2019. In 2022, Evie achieved her Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Education and became a Senior Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Nursing at the RVC.

Evie’s interests lie in post-operative orthopaedic, soft-tissue and ophthalmic surgery and wound management in addition to emergency veterinary medicine.

Externally to the RVC, Evie is a visiting Education Representative for the RCVS Veterinary Nurse Accreditation panel.

Evie is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Nursing and is First Year Leader for the FdSc/BSc in Veterinary Nursing. She is also Module Leader for the Applied Animal Health and Welfare I module (Y1) and Deputy Module Leader for the Applied Animal Health and Welfare II (Y1). Evie is also Module Leader for the Understanding Disease module in Year 2. On the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing, Evie is Deputy Module Leader for the Fundamentals in Advanced Veterinary Nursing Practice.

Evie teaches across all years of the Veterinary Nursing FdSc/BSc and CertAVN programmes and is a Final Year Project supervisor in Year 4 of the BSc in Veterinary Nursing.
